I think (a) he seems like a great guy, so only criticism is about his play and (b) I think when you have 2 great receivers and a great RB and we’re playing a try-not-to-lose style on offense it just becomes frustrating to watch, regardless of the W/L record. And despite the OC issues and playcalling, it’s hard not to put some of that blame on Hurts at this point in his career—righty or wrongly.
Totally I think that’s fair! Hurts deserves a share of the blame for how the offense has stagnated. But it’s also on Nick Sirianni and the Eagles to push him and provide a sound system with rigid expectations. That’s what coaching is for. When that happens, Hurts tends to play well. This season will really be a test for him and reveal a lot about his capacity to do the things he’s uncomfortable doing.

Always Philly. Always the Eagles QB. Always Hurts.
The hate is group think at this point. While dudes who haven’t won anything are untouchable. Good topic to cover man.
