Lotta fun here, very well executed. Liked the Q&A format too. To hit that 7+ heel level you have to win most of the time. As you pointed out with the Cowboys, they lose too much. It’s all bark and no bite. And in football, you have to stay healthy. AJ Brown’s ceiling is lower because he can’t / refuses to stay on the field. Same thing with Kawhi Leonard, which brings me to another heel feature… the sidekick. Flair had Lil Natch, Kawhi has Uncle Dennis, in wrestling the managers often served that role, Heenan and Jimmy Hart. Brady and Belichick had each other and that really elevated their heel status. Neither was a sidekick but together their heel vibe was complete.
If Travis Kelce had landed say, a Kardashian, or any of the podcast Alixes, instead of Taylor Swift, he could’ve done an amazing heel turn in his final few seasons. Instead, he and Jason had to screw by marrying women who are better than they are. Can’t blame them, but they failed to meet their destiny as NFL heels.
I love this! That's such a good point, the best villains have a great sidekick. Kawhi and Uncle Dennis is such a good example. Would you say Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams work as a tandem? Or Aaron Rodgers at Pat McAfee? lol
These are good adds! Especially Pickens. He has such villain potential, especially playing for the Cowboys. And Watson is 100% a football villain and just real life bad dude. Would love a heel turn from Myles Garrett too.
I enjoyed this, and agree it's more fun to have heels in the mix. It's interesting that you mentioned Nick Sirianni, since I've discussed him with many fellow Eagles fans and opinions seem to be mixed. As an introvert, he's definitely not my preferred style, but at the same time I kind of like his attitude as long as his players are okay with it and he keeps winning. Nationally, Stephen A. Smith is a great choice. I absolutely cannot stand him.

Fun article. As a Chiefs diehard fan and someone who follows the Commanders as a DC local, Sirriani is a definite villiain. Chiefs fans agree. I honestly can't stand the guy. So he's a good one to root against for entertainment value. He has the results so I can see why he's confident in his antics.
