I actually think my worst-aging Foles take was that he would be the GOAT Eagles QB early on in that 1st stint, after he had the 7 TD game and crazy passer rating in 2013. I would not have been surprised if you told me he won Philly a Super Bowl back then, but the shocking part was HOW he ended up winning it.
No lie, to this day that might be the greatest performance by a quarterback I've ever seen in my life. This man went 22/28 for 7 TDs against Oakland. That's absolutely nuts. Nick Foles' ability to touch god needs to be studied. I've never seen a player fluctuate between reaching the highest heights of his position and looking like a below-average quarterback. Dude is an absolute gamer. Who would've thought that in a draft that included Andrew Luck, RGIII, Russell Wilson, Ryan Tannehill, and Kirk Cousins that Nick Foles would undoubtedly be the 2nd most successful quarterback? Wild career, what a legend.
I honestly think that take was everyone’s reaction when Wentz went down… the fact that Foles didn’t suck remains a miracle tbh
Lol 100%. I feel like if there were a power ranking of "Teams of Destiny" the 2017 Eagles would be at the top of the list.
